Arne Jacobsen has influenced design and architecture in Denmark since more than 50 years. Products designed by him as well as his building combining modern elements with the Nordic love of naturalism. Born on February 9, 1902 in Copenhagen, he already showed a special affinity for the art in early years. During his school years in a boarding school he developed an extraordinary talent for drawing and sculpting, but his father pressed him to focus his career on the architecture there. Arne Jacobsen worked as a University graduate in the architectural firm of Paul Holsoe.
